Serving God is not a J-O-B it is a J-O-Y....my most recent JOY came on July 12, 2009 when God opened the door to Trail To Christ Cowboy Church and allowed
me to enter as their new pastor. In January of 1995, after praying with a man over the phone, Jesus Christ became my Lord and Savior. In March of 1995 I met my
wife Dee and we married in December of 1995. We live in Palestine, Texas, on a small place where we run a few head of roping steers and the ministry He Rose
Cowboy Fellowship & Arena. My daughter, Kelsie, lives in Athens, Texas, where she will attend Trinity Valley Community college in the fall.
As a youngster, teenager and part of my adult life my Dad owned a feed store in South Houston. What was once covered with good salt grass and crossbred
Brahman cattle is now strip-malls and fancy houses. For as long as I can remember, from raising and showing registered Brahman cattle, riding in drill teams,
working cattle, roping at a few steers and even a stint as a PRCA bulldogger, horses and cattle have been a part of my life.
Being called to be a Pastor is a duty that I ducked out on the Lord for but, Him, being who He is, I was rightly lined out. What a blessing and an adventure to
be here at Trail To Christ Cowboy Church. There is a good bunch of "lovin" folks at TTC where we are ready to serve in the Lord's work, serve each other and
serve you. So, come visit us or contact us at any time. And, if you have any questions, just get with us, we'll be glad to get back to you with the details. God Bless!
Keep spurin' for Christ!
Bro. Mark
